Lighting & room layouts
Plan ceiling fittings, task lighting and switching alongside kitchens, bathrooms and bespoke furniture. Decorative fittings and specialist access are priced separately.
Rewiring during renovation
An empty-property rewire can be planned alongside plastering and decorating. The quotation should identify the circuit schedule, accessories, testing, certification and making good.

Indicative ranges excluding VAT. Labour only unless stated; final scope and any applicable VAT must be confirmed in your written quote. Small standalone tasks may be subject to minimum attendance charges.
Electrical — planned work
£60–85 / hourWeekdays, one-hour minimum; parts extra. Suitability and required certification agreed with the appointed electrician.
Replace socket / switch
£70–110 / pointLabour, like-for-like accessible existing point; accessory and wiring repairs extra. One-hour minimum applies per visit, not in addition.
Add socket to existing circuit
£120–200 / pointLabour subject to circuit assessment; materials, certification scope and decoration itemised in quote.
Replace light fitting
£80–140 / fittingLabour for accessible like-for-like fitting on a sound circuit; fitting and access equipment extra.
Three-bedroom house rewire
£5,000–8,000 / houseLabour and standard wiring/accessories for a typical empty 80–100 m² house; final circuit schedule required. Decorative fittings, plastering and decorating extra.

Know what is included.
Are electrical certificates included?
The appointed electrician must set out the inspection, testing, certification and any notification required for the specific work. Confirm these items in the written quotation.
Can electrics be included in a renovation quote?
Yes, as a separately defined part of the scope, coordinated with the appointed electrician. Confirm the appointed contractor’s qualifications and certification arrangements before commissioning the work.
Are plaster repairs included after chasing?
Not in the electrical guide rates. Plastering and decoration are separate unless your project quotation explicitly includes them.
